청바지 (Jeans)의 원조는 Italy 의 'Genos'

In the singular jean is a term for a durable twilled cotton
and is short for the phrase jean fustian,
which first appears in texts from the 16th century.
Fustian, from Medieval Latin fustaneum,
is a cotton or cotton and linen fabric,
and jean is the modern spelling Middle English Jene or Gene,
from Genes, the Middle French name of the Italian city Genos,
where it was made and shipped abroad.

결국 이탈리아 Genos 에서 만들어지고

전세계로 수출햇던 jean 옷감,

그것이 아메리카를 상징하는 청바지가 될 줄 누가 알았을까...?!

아메리카에서는 노동자가 입기에 편리하고

옷감이 잘 해어지지 않는 옷감을 찾아내려다가

Italia 의 Genos 에서 수출한 옷감이 마음에 들었다.

그 옷감이 아메리카 개척의 큰 역할을 했다.

요즈음은 외출복으로 쓰이지만,

역시 blus colllar 들이 입어야 어울리는 노동복이다.

 

문제는..

노동자들에게 어울리는 청바지

이제는 젊은이들이 그 용도에 어울리지 않게 입고 있다는 것이다.
