Butterfly - Nicole Flieg
It was late one summer evening
when I saw that butterfly
on its wings were every colour you could find
And I held it for a moment then I let it fly away
Soon it disappeared and left me far behind
갖가지 색의 날개를 가진
나비를 본 건 어느 늦은 여름 밤이었어요
잠시 나비를 쥐고는 날아가도록 놓아주었죠
나만 홀로 멀리 남겨둔 채 곧 나비는 사라져 버렸어요
And in my imagination,
I was floating on the breeze
Drifting over every mountain, sea and land
And with no one there to stop me
Every dream was coming true
People walking side by side, and hand in hand
내 상상속에서는 난 산들 바람을 타고
여기 저기 산과 바다 여러나라를 떠다녔죠
거기엔 날 말릴 이는 아무도 없었고
모든 꿈들이 이루어졌어요
사람들은 손에 손을 잡고 나란이 걸어다니네요

날개를 활짝 펴고 새처럼 하늘을 높이 날아라

꿈속에서 난 나비가 멀리 떨어져있는
강기슭으로 날아가는 걸 보았어요
사람들이 서서 그 모습을 미소를 머금고 바라보았어요
곧 불평이 사라지고 순회하는 모든 나날들이
가치있다고 여길수 있게 전 세계
구석구석까지 평화가 찾아왔어요
There were tulip fields in holland
And the roses in versailles
And the english country garden in the sun
네덜란드에는 튜율립 들판이
베르사유에는 장미들이
태양 아래는 영국 시골 정원이 있었죠
Edelweiss and bright red popples
Lovely blue forget-me-nots
Growing tall and proud, and shared by everyone
에델바이스와 진홍빛 꽃들 사랑스런 푸른빛의 물망초들이
크고 자랑스럽게 자라 모든이들에 의해 함께 가꾸어졌죠
